the bird's nest

The other day, I ran into my neighbor in the laundry room, and we got to talking. She mentioned that a crow had built a nest on a tree that was right outside her bedroom window. And the crow had maybe 6 baby birds! She was complaining about how noisy they are and how sometimes she wanted to take a BB gun and shoot them. I was shocked. How can you not love to see nature working. I have never seen a bird in her nest, let alone 6! She showed them to me and the crows, even though they were only a few weeks old, are huge! And they are beautiful!
